04 May 2016
Following our final game at Halifax on Saturday, we now have a final total for the pledge for season 2015/16 of £2028.30. It’s been very successful once again and we have actually achieved our highest total so far. Thanks so much to everyone who has participated, contributed and joined in the fun . The funds generated are vital for the SST to continue its support of the club and its fans. We really appreciate your involvement . Let’s hope John Askey can get a good squad together over the summer to prepare us a successful season ahead. I am sure that we will be running the pledge again – so watch this space.!
29 March 2016
What a good Easter! Back to winning ways with 6 points and 5 goals. Even better for the pledge with ‘bearded’ Reece Styche scoring 4 of them! The total now stands at £1746.45. Let’s hope we can continue this form on Saturday against Braintree and get as high as we can up that table in our last 6 games.
07 March 2016
After the very dull match at Alty and despite our current very poor run, the Pledge currently stands at £1569.10 . This is still , somewhat surprisingly, ahead of where we were at the same time last year. For all our benefits, we do need to get to get back to entertainment and winning ways very soon. Let’s hope the Lincoln game on Saturday will be a catalyst for a good run in to the end of the season.
08 February 2016
January wasn’t a great month for the team or the pledge. Let’s hope for a big push forward from now on, so we can move back into those play off places. The total now stands ( prior to the rearranged Torquay Trophy game) at £1,434.45. Still ahead of the figure at the same last year but the gap is closing.
03 January 2016
Happy New Year to everyone. After two great and gritty away performances at our Cheshire neighbours, the total stands at a very healthy £1333.50. Currently we are over 40% ahead of where we were at the same time last year. Thanks so much. Let’s hope we can continue this push for the playoffs in the coming week.
19 December 2015
After the game at Welling yesterday the pledge total has risen to £1127.30. Thanks so much for your support. Happy Christmas to everyone and let’s hope that the festive season brings results that will push us up into the playoff places.
28 November 2015
What a great performance at Wrexham in awful conditions. After that excellent result , now half way through the league campaign , the total pledge stands at a tremendous £1015.25 – 30% up on the same time last year. Let’s hope the lads can continue this rich vein of form into the new year. The play offs are well in reach.
Thanks so much for your valued support.
09 November 2015
The pledge stands at £705.30 after our FA Cup defeat at Pompey. Recent away results haven’t helped our total improve much but hopefully we can get a good result against the Robins on Tuesday night and get both our league performance and the pledge back on track.
11 October 2015
The Silkmen and the Pledge go marching on after our win against Kiddy on Saturday in front of the cameras – but not without a few jitters at the end! We had our first bearded scorer – well done Tony D. The total now stands at a very healthy £573.10
07 October 2015
After a fantastic result and performance in the horrible Yorkshire rain on Tuesday night at Guiseley, the total pledge now stands at £525.70. It was one of the best one-off league matches the pledge has ever had – goals, clean sheet, penalty save and of course, a defeat for Alty ! Let’s hope for more with this early start in front of TV cameras against our old friends from Aggborough
26 September 2015
After that great performance against Aldershot, the pledge total has risen to a healthy £412.75. Still no bearded scorers though !
We have matched last year in the number of individual pledges made, which is excellent – thanks again for the tremendous support.
31 August 2015
After the great result at Blundell Park we are now getting back on track and the pledge now stands at £198.75. More pledges are coming in – many thanks for that it is really appreciated. However monitoring this gets ever more involved – you will see that I now have to check the facial hair of the scorers and how many ‘Dans’ are on the pitch when we score!
23 August 2015
5 games in, with very mixed results on the pitch, but the number of pledges is growing nicely. The total didn’t progress much after yesterday’s defeat at Eastleigh and currently stands at £120.75. Let’s hope for a win against our Cheshire rivals, a few goals and maybe a clean sheet to get that total moving!
19 August 2015
We are 4 games in with mixed results on the pitch but as you can see the pledge is moving on nicely. The total stands at £115.70 after the Tuesday night’s craziness at Sincil Bank. I know there are still some pledges on their way but if you haven’t sent them in yet – there is still time to join in. It’s a fun way to help the club, so please support it if you can.
