The Player of the Year (PofY)

The Player of the Year (PotY) is now up and running, and we have had a number of voting boxes / slips around the ground on the last two matchdays. We also have an online vote which is available at the following email address which is poty.mfc@gmail.com

The paper and online vote will end at 5pm on Saturday 15th April which coincides with the end of our final  home game against Prescot Cables on Saturday 15th April 2023.

The SST will  be coordinating the vote and count again with the assistance of Dan Ashton who has undertaken this role so well over the last few years.

The SST have already sourced trophies for the PotY wards and will include purchase of the trophies for the womens’ team as well:

National Supporters Survey

National Supporters Survey 2023 launched

Every few years we conduct a national fans survey to assess the state of the game and the views of football supporters - and you can fill in the 2023 FSA National Supporters Survey here

The last of these fans' censuses was conducted in 2017, to which more than 8,000 fans from across the football pyramid gave their opinions.

A lot has happened in the six years since we last polled supporters - the introduction of VAR, the COVID-19 pandemic, the spectre of the European Super League raising its head and the subsequent fan-led review of football governance to name but a few major impacts on our game.

As such, we felt it was time to take the temperature of football fans again.

Despite being a comprehensive survey covering a range of topics, it should take the average user only around ten minutes to complete.

The results of the survey will be published at the end of season.

Further update on the Silk Pledge for the season 2022/23.

Thank you all for those have placed pledges on the SST's Silk Pledge for the forthcoming season 2022/23. We are well on our way to over a £1000.00 this season.

The Silk Pledge now stands at £885.90 after 14 home matches.

This is not surprising after the excellent results and amounts of goals scored together with cleans sheets.

Please remember you make your pledges for as much or as little as 5p on pledges that can be reasonably be monitored. Full details about it can be found on the Silk Pledge page , which provides a full description of what it is; together with a list of pledges that can be made, together with a pledge form which can be downloaded by anyone who would like to take part in this season's pledge.
